DESCRIPTION
Aslah is a beautiful cross breed puppy of 9 months of age who has had very bad luck in her short life so far. She was rescued when she was only a couple of months old, and she was taken into a foster home where she settled well and started to learn all about life with a family. We were thrilled when her fosterer said they wanted to adopt this lovely girl, but as time went on we didn’t hear back from them to finalise the process. After many weeks of waiting and reaching out to them, they informed us they would be able to keep her and were not going to become her forever family. From here we had to start looking for a second foster home for her, and she moved to stay with a new family. With all the change, poor Aslah felt very disoriented and confused, and this lead to her losing her housetraining in the new home. At this point, the fosterer decided they wouldn’t keep her, and she was sent back to us again. She was then at our volunteer’s rescue site with lots of other dogs for a few days, until a third foster home came forward to care for her. She is currently sharing the home with a German shepherd, and has got on really well. We feel she would be much happier and more comfortable with another dog in the home, so she can follow the lead of a stable, older dog and learn from them. Her housetraining is coming along really nicely, and she now seems much more settled and relaxed.
Aslah is a gorgeous girl inside and out. At the beginning she is shy and timid, but as son as she gains trust she flourish up. She enjoys the company of people and other dogs, and she really deserves the chance to settle into life with a family who are committed to caring for her for the next 12-15 years. Could that be you?
We feel Aslah would be best suited to an adult only home, or one with dog savvy children, so she has the space and time to adapt to all the changes she will experience. She is learning how to walk on a lead, though will need continued training with this, as well as all the training puppies require. Someone who has lots of time to give, with a resident dog for company, and a fenced garden where she can run and play.
Aslah is currently in foster care in Northern Spain but ready to travel to England or Wales (NoOT Scotland) as soon as the right family comes forward. She will travel neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for Mediterranean diseases.
