This handsome boy is Benji, a beautiful medium-sized puppy of just 7 months of age. He is in our care since his stray mum gave birth to him and his siblings. His father is unknown to us, but he has the features of a Labrador and
Retriever. Benji is affectionate and playful, but he is at the beginning distrustful and nervous around new people and situations. Nevertheless that dispears as soon as he gains trust and gets to know you. Then he becomes as naughty as any other puppy too :) We know he will love the cuddles, fun and warmth of a home, he just needs someone to pick him as their new companion.
Benji and his other siblings are currently in a boarding kennel in Spain where they are taking very well care of them, but what Benji really needs more than anything is a family. We don’t know how he is with cats and other small furries and we also can’t test him with them, but he is affectionate, playful and great with other dogs. He is a happy, active boy who loves company. His mum is of medium size, but his father is unknown to us. From his current size, we estimate that he will be about 16 to 20kg when fully grown, but it also shouldn’t become a problem for you if he grows more than expected.
His future family will need to be patient and understanding as Benji hasn’t been shown what life in a home looks like, how to walk on a lead and go exploring, or how to cope with new situations. He will need guidance and training around new people, and other dogs, on walks and at home, as he will be experiencing all of this for the very first time and may be a little bit shy/nervous at first, but with gentle affection and positive training, we have no doubt this beautiful boy will flourish.
For Benji, we are looking for an active family or person, who is committed to the decision of adopting a puppy and with everything that this implies. That is why we only consider a dog experienced home (NOT first dog owners) who knows how to manage the education, training and socialization of a puppy and also has the time and patience for this.
We are looking for an adult-only home or a home without young children (14+), as we want dogs who require more time like himself to be the priority. We would like him to have the company of an active resident dog at home, so he can play and learn from a confident friend.
Benji is currently in Northern Spain, but cannot wait to travel and discover his new home in Wales or England (NOT Scotland) as soon as the right family or person comes forward. Benji is a gorgeous puppy who deserves to know what it means to have his own family where he will be a further family member, loved and appreciated.
