DESCRIPTION

Beautiful Bora came into the pound as an unclaimed stray many many months ago. We desperately hoped she would find a home quickly, but over a year later and this lovely girl is still waiting. She is currently in a pound in northern Spain, spending all her time in a kennel.

We really can't understand why. Bora is a sweet, affectionate girl who shares her kennel with other dogs. She lives in the kennel 24h a day, and even with the lack of exercise and stimulation, only wanted to stay with the volunteer who visited the pound to meet her. She will make a wonderful addition to a patient and loving home, who has lots of time to dedicate to helping her settle.

We believe Bora is a Collie cross, estimated to be around 3.5-4 years-old. As she is in the pound, we don't know anything about her past or her experiences in life so far- we don't know whether she has ever lived in a home, is used to the car, traffic, walking on a lead, housetrained and so on. She therefore needs a family who are committed to helping her through the transition, in whatever ways she needs.

As we have no option to test Bora around children we are suggesting an adult only home, or one with dog-experienced older children (14+). Bora cannot be tested with cats or small furries. Bora currently shares a kennel with male and female dogs- She can be a little protective over her food around the other dogs, but we feel this is most likely due to the environment, as dogs get fed together at the pound, and it can be a stressful experience for them. We do feel she could share with a four-legged resident friend.

To find out more about sweet Bora, and to hear all about our adoption process, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you. Bora will travel to the UK spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and tested for Mediterranean diseases. Bora can be adopted in England or Wales (not Scotland as we do not have RBU in the area).
