DESCRIPTION

Cairo is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is currently in foster care in King’s Lynn (UK). He is a stunning boy with his bindle coat and his impressive honey colored eyes. He was rescued from a road in Northern Spain, having been left to fend for himself in an area of extremely heavy traffic.

Luckily we managed to catch him and take him to safety. Cairo is wonderful with everyone – he’s lovely with people, adores other dogs and he’s good around cats. At his foster home in the UK, he is sharing his space with 9 other dogs of all sizes and ages.

In spite of the journey and all the stress it entails, he has settled amazingly and is doing so well. He is such an intelligent, sociable and friendly boy, he just wants to please people and make friends. Cairo is a young and playful dog, who is full of energy, therefore it would be great if he could share his home with a dog of similar energy level.

A dog who loves to run and play would be a wonderful companion to him. He hasn’t been used to being left alone without the company of other dogs, and he doesn’t like being left in very small spaces, but when his foster have left him with free access to the downstairs space and with their other dogs, he has done well.

Cairo is very attached to people and follows his foster carers everywhere. He loves sitting near them and being given attention and cuddles. He can sit, give his paw and knows how to walk on a lead. He likes to be upfront in a group but he doesn’t pull very much and is good on walks, just needing a little bit of reassurance as he goes.

He’s lovely at home, quiet and housetrained once he knows the space he’s in. His foster family took him to a public space recently, and although initially slightly nervous, he settled very quickly at their fit and loved it when people came over to say hello.

This stunning boy needs an active family with a fenced garden he can fun in, and lots of daily physical and mental stimulation. He’s so gentle and sweet we feel he could be okay to live with older children (10+ years), we will evaluate this on a case by case basis. Cairo is ready to learn and be taught all about life in a home. We would like someone who has a resident dog for company or a place where he could have many doggy friends and time to dedicate to his care.

If you are happy to spend the next 12-15 years with Cairo and include him into your family please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The adoption fee for Cairo is £610. He is in good health, neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, has his own passport and has been tested negative for Mediterranean diseases.

For further details please get in touch, we’re more than happy to answer and questions you may have. Please be aware that we require from all potential adopters that they are able to travel to his current foster to meet Cairo in person prior adoption.
