We want to introduce you to this gorgeous female mastin cross of about 1.5 years of age. Her name is Diana dervided from Princess Diana. That's why she is usually called "Princesa" by the people around her. Princesa already got to know the bad side of humanity. She was overrun by a car and left on her own with a Pneumothorax for 24 hours until we saved her. After a long treatment she has recovered very well and doesn't have any sequelaes.
Princesa is a very affectionate girl. She loves to be around her people and get cuddles, but she is also very protective of her home and her people. She has the typical character of the mastins and is calm and noble. She is currently in foster care in Northern Spain and living in a flat with her foster parents and a cat. It took some time until she got used to the cat as the cat was afraid of her size and wanted to run away each time she saw her, but with patient and time they got used to each other. Now Princesa protects the cat like she does with anyone member of the home and even shares her bedding with her. With other dogs on her walks she is fine and also happy to play with them, but she would prefer to be the only dog at home to have all the attention for herself.
Princesa is not a demanding girl. Having her walks, be with her people and to receive cuddles and affection makes her happy. She is a very familiar dog and loves to be around the people she knows and enjoy their company. Princess is obedient, walks very well on the lead and is house trained.
Princesa is looking for a dog experienced home. Also she is a easy going dog, she is a big sized dog and can be stubborn and very protective of her people and therefore needs a confident leader who tells her when her protection isn't needed. She for example barks and growls if someone unknown rings on the house door or gets close to her people. Her size in combination with her deep barking or growling can be quite scaring for people who don't know her and especially for children, therefore we are looking for a home that is used to her breed or a similar breed and doesn't have children.
Princesa is ready to start a new chapter in her life and to get to know the good side of humans. Love, patience and commitment are the key for it and if you can offer this girl a lovely home and keep showing her the beautiful sides of life don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Please be aware that Princesa can be rehomed in England and Wales, but NOT Scotland.
