DESCRIPTION

Beautiful Ena first arrived at the pound with her two sisters as a tiny puppy. We have no idea how somebody could be so heartless, as to abandoned month old puppies in such a barren, scary environment. Shortly after arriving, the puppies caught parvovirus. Ena's sister sadly didn't make it, but Ena was one of the lucky ones, and we hoped she would quickly find her forever home. Sadly, after seeing her other sister get adopted and after 2 years in boarding kennels, Ena is still waiting.

This girl is a true survivor and we would love nothing more than to see her in the home she deserves.

Ena has grown up in the boarding kennel, surrounded by the company of other dogs, who she loves to run and play with. She is a happy, active girl, but her future family will need to consider that her life experience and socialisation have been limited until now. She has spent the first two years in a boarding kennel, in a rural area, without learning about urban environments, noises, traffic, travelling in the car, walking on the lead etc. She will therefore need someone patient and committed to teaching her all about what a fun place the world can really be.

We are looking for an experienced, adult only home for Ena, who has lots of time to dedicate to her and to spend with her as she settles and adjusts to her new home.

As you can see from the photos taken when volunteers visited Ena at the boarding kennel, she is a very sweet-natured girl, who really wants to trust people. She will need to grow in confidence in her new home, as she hasn't been exposed to many visitors where she currently is, but by taking things at her own pace and allowing her to build trust over time, we have no doubt she will make a wonderful companion.

Ena hasn't been tested around cats, but she could most definitely share her space with another dog. In fact, we feel this would help her as she has never experienced life without a four-legged friend by her side.

She would love a fully fenced garden if possible, as she may be scared of new environments at first and she won't be used to walking on a lead. This would therefore give her a safe space to burn energy and explore.

Ena has already packed her bags, ready to travel to her new home in England or Wales. She will be microchipped, vaccinated, spayed and tested for Mediterranean diseases. To find out more about her, and to hear how our adoption process works, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you!
