DESCRIPTION
Wifi was brought into the pound as a tiny puppy, we have no idea where he came from or why he was abandoned. Thankfully, a foster family was available, and they took him in. He’s been with them ever since, living on their farm in the countryside.
Wifi is very affectionate with his fosterers, he loves a cuddle. He shares his space with 4 other female dogs, and he spends his days running around and playing with them. Particularly with a greyhound, who he plays with most of the day. He loves the company of other dogs and would benefit from having a resident friend in his new home.
When he’s out walking with the female dogs, he has been known to bark at other dogs, but his foster thinks this is probably due to being the only male adolescent with a group of female dogs he feels he needs to “protect”, as he’s recently been going to classes with a dog trainer and lots of other dogs, and he’s been social around all of the ones he’s met. He also hasn’t shown to be particularly fearful of new people in that setting. He has also been seen around visitors, and he coped with the presence of new people well.
He doesn’t get left very much at the moment, 1-1.5 hours maximum, and as he's been known to chew when bored, his new family will need to prepare to dedicate time to separation training gradually.
He is a very sweet boy, who is playful and active as any puppy his age. He does need continued socialisation, training and time to settle, as he’s been used to quite a free, rural environment so far.
Do you feel Wifi could be the one for you? If so,
please read our full criteria below. For Wifi, we are looking for middle aged
person or couple. where someone is around most of the day. Wifi needs an active
family or person, who is committed to the decision of adopting a puppy and
with everything that this implies. We will only consider a dog experienced home (NOT first dog owners) who
know how to manage the education, training and socialization of a young dog.
We are looking for an adult only home or a home
without young children (14+), as we want dogs who require more time like himself
to be the priority. Wifi would enjoy having a further dog companion at home
from who he would be able to learn. Nevertheless, this is not a requirement, if
he gets enough dog interaction and time to play with other dogs on his walks or
outdoor activities. Wifi hasn’t and can’t be tested with cats.
Wifi is currently in Northern Spain, but cannot wait to travel and
discover his new home in Wales or England (We don't re-home to Scotland) as soon as the right
family or person comes forward.
